The post was held at Kendriya Bhandar Police Headquarters Jaipur, Senior Officer Jhunjhunu, Police Vigilance Department Jaipur.After being promoted in the year 1995 as Additional Superintendent of Police, Commandant PTS Kishangarh, Additional Superintendent of Police Ajmer City, CID Range Cell Ajmer, ACB Ajmer, ACB Jodhpur, retired in the year 2007 from the post of Commandant RPTC Jodhpur. At the time of last posting to service these RPS were in Super Time Scale.

Th. Bhagwat Singh Udawat received 61 commendations and awards in his 39 years of police service. He also established a relief fund for the economically backward community members and operated it successfully and published Udavat Smrika to enhance the knowledge of the new generation. His gentle and tolerant nature kept everyone connected. Because of his tendency to take everyone's advice and along with him, every person in the society respected him with all his heart. On the platform of the society, Maharaja Shri Gaj Singh Ji Saheb of Marwar-Jodhpur had praised his selfless social and government services many times.
